#11 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses Headline Reading/Leeds Festival (Rumor) » 794 weeks ago
a lot of people on the efestivals boards (where the GnR headlining rumour came from) seem very excited by blink 182.
maybe i'm getting old, but they are fkn horrendous - what's to like? the singer has possibly the most irritating voice i've ever heard. that song i miss you makes me want to kill...
and also the libertines reforming for their million pound cashgrab - that news seems to be popular, again - i never "got" them either.
sigh..

I'll be at Reading for GnR day. Like you Olorin, a Friday night at a festival is more appealing than sunday, and I've been to Reading so many times it seems right that at last I can see GnR there! not bothering with the whole weekend, in fact it'll be the first time I'm just going for the day, the rest of the line-up for the weekend is fkn awful IMO
That end-of-weekend crowd smell on the sunday is enough to put me off leeds...!

I'd forgotten about Kerbdog! Saw them at a festival in 1994 and bought a single "dummy crusher" which has a cool cover of PiL's This is not a Love Song as a B side. Used to play that over and over! cheers for the reminder of this lot!

Final Destination in 3D and Up.
really enjoyed both. all the final destinations should be 3D - it just adds really well to that kind of "fated extreme accident" plot
#16 Re: The Garden » H1N1 Vaccine » 815 weeks ago
the vaccine is rolling out across UK here too, dont think I'll bother. The media here is so untrustworthy about the whole flu thing, I cant see why I should have it any more than previous year's flu jabs (of which I had one once about ten years ago and it made me sick as a fkn dog for days).
I'll stick to taking my echinacea thanks.

Popped a wee bit in today - hope it helps you, Neemo - you deserve it and already look forward to your review of the show!

I'd be happy to chip in on paypal for neemo. some GnR fans have done amazing things for me in the past (from sending merchandise from overseas gigs to giving me a ticket to the amazing acoustic gig in London in 06) so I'd be v happy to help.
#19 Re: Guns N' Roses » Great Duff Interview on Axl » 817 weeks ago
Always been a Duff nutswinger. Believe in Me one of my favorite 90s albums. Its a shame it didn't take off, but it was about a year too late.
.
I really liked that album too. When I saw Loaded last year in London, they played 10 Years. I told him after how chuffed I was they played it. He did seem a decent bloke, much happier/chilled out than on another occasion with the rest of VR close by towards their.. err.. demise shall we say Understandable considering what happened with scott soon after. Liked his Cracked Actor bowie cover a lot on the B-side to believe in me too.
I've been surprised for years that they are all still alive. and grateful!
