I have my order worked out pretty much. Devious has to go, I think the Bucket rocker stuff need a vocal or something, the slower instrumentals sound much cooler.
I'm just used to Buckethead's stuff being instrumental anyway, so it doesn't really sound unfinished to me.
I didn't vote for Dummy, but I love when it gets heavy. I mean, it's really heavy. Almost Sorry-level heavy. I voted for Bastard.
I just love how it starts out with that pretty acoustic riff, then that dirty, ragged guitar tone just kicks in out of nowhere. Definitely one of my favorites in this batch.

I love Billionaire. I'm not sure how well it works as a GNR song, but I love the funky beats, hard synths, and melody underneath.

Maybe it is Axl’s turn to release and tour a solo album. He obviously has plenty of music to choose from and a lot of former employees to put a band together with.
Ooh, I'd really like that. I've always thought the problem with ChiDem's reception was never the music, it was just the public's perception. Instead of this being Axl Rose's adventurous new post-GNR band, it was seen as merely a bunch of hired guns that could never replace the originals. But if Axl keeps Duff & Slash in GNR, meanwhile reuniting with Stinson, Bucket and Finck in a solo band, then they could finish CD 2 & 3 without it being unfairly judged against Appetite & Illusions.

Oklahoma was written in 1994. He wrote it about the bombing and how people in the courtroom during his divorce didn’t give a shit that it happened and were only focused on taking him down. There’s an Axl quote about it. It was certainly worked on by anybody in the lineup 94-01.
Yeah, I was just re-reading that Rolling Stone interview from Feb 2000.
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi … ks-238599/
In addition to the album’s almost grungy title track, tentative song titles include “Catcher in the Rye,” “I.R.S.,” “The Blues” and “TWAT,” which he says stands for “there was a time.” Another song, called “Oklahoma” – heard tonight only as an instrumental – was inspired by a court date with ex-wife Erin Everly. “I was sitting in my litigation with my ex-wife, and it was the day after the bombing,” Rose remembers with a wince. “We had a break, and I’m sitting with my attorneys with a sort of smile on my face, more like a nervous thing – it was like, ‘Forgive me, people, I’m having trouble taking this seriously.’ It’s just ironic that we’re sitting there and this person is spewing all kinds of things and 168 people just got killed. And this person I’m sitting there with, she don’t care. Obliterating me is their goal.”

Yeah, I'm also surprised that there wasn't much mentioned about a massive trove of unreleased demos leaking. I wouldn't expect the mainstream media to care much, but even the hard rock/metal blogs I follow didn't mention it. I admit, I haven't paid much attention for years, since there hasn't been any new music, and I've long since given up hope on ChiDem 2 ever being released. But I started seeing articles about "Massive GNR fan banned for life for posting new leaked demos" and I'm like wait, what? New demos? I mean, yeah, it sucks that dude got banned, but NEW DEMOS? Fuuuuck, why did I not know about this sooner?

Since we're already dreaming: Live dvd, UYI tour docu and CD sessions box set.
I'm hoping for a proper CD/DVD release of the full uncensored Live At The Ritz show.

Ha, my mind saw the same thing.

I would say that's possible, but even one show with Adler would be a nightmare and far from a guarantee.
My prediction: They'll keep Adler out of the loop until the last minute because even he's admitted that he can't keep a secret. Shortly before they're finally ready to make an official announcement, that's when they'll finally make him an offer. And it's unlikely that he'll pull a Bill Ward and want a better contract, because any part of the reunion pie is bigger than playing hick town redneck bars on a Tuesday night.
And, when they finally go out on tour, they'll keep Frank on retainer to jump in at a moment's notice in case Adler falls off the wagon.
Alternate Reality Prediction: Instead of Stephen Adler, they get Chris Adler from Lamb of God, who's already made a name for himself as a hired gun filling in for Megadeth and Protest The Hero.

As much as I'd love to see Bucket return, I sincerely doubt that will ever happen. Like Axl, Bucket is a one of a kind talent that is truly devoted to his music above all else, and will do what's in his heart rather than what may be in his financial best interest.
That said, however, both his parents have passed away in the last couple of years, and there have been rumors of him having a huge stack of medical bills to pay. So who knows, anything is possible. Maybe at least he'll hook up wit Axl and they can finish up whatever is left to do for CD part 2. Also, with Ron and Ashba gone, there's hopefully no need to go back in and tinker with songs that should have been completed years ago.

Another new interview with Fortus, where he basically says the same thing again:
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/guns-n … uro0ZqP.99
"The current state of GN'R is pretty up in the air," he replied. "The last I heard they wanted to finish up the recordings that we have and put them out next year and start touring. But it has been a while since I've heard from anybody in that camp as far as management or Axl. So I really don't know."
