I had a look on setlist.fm. Looks like other unreleased songs are Dry Jack, like you mentioned, as well as Holiday Smile (played only once), I Left My Soul, Break You, and Sorry I'm Wrong

Blackstar mentioned the Clink thing elsewhere. I cant of the top of my head remember here source but she is pretty dam reliable

Honestly at this point I think it's either something else or Axl being afraid of the reception. Getting a confirmation that he missed the right time to release it or that all that agony and work it was 20 years ago really was for nothing.
If they didn't care, they wouldn't be going through their catalogue finding obscure choices like "Anything Goes" or "SOYL" to have something different to play. Same with those pointless AC/DC covers. They are bored of their standard setlist themselves. Yet they do anything but play actual "new" stuff.
If they didn't care, they wouldn't have gone through the hassle of even re-recording those 6 songs.
If Axl didn't care, he wouldn't have been so cheerful when they first started playing Absurd. He clearly enjoys singing it.
So my money is on either they don't believe in the material or something else is going on

Supposedly Duff told this German version of CR that news are coming in the next week.
Technically the quotes says "I believe even this week"... So either tonight or in Rome on Saturday?

I don't think that's the issue. With all of his investments he would have had enough money for it pre-NITL. The point is that buying the rights back will not make as much profit as it would cost.

I met Duff after a Walking Papers Show back in 2013 and asked him about the album. He really appreciated the interest in it, but said that he won't pursue it - too complicated and not worth the costs :-(

The track with Slash is from the unreleased Beautiful Disease record. I wonder whether it's the exact same version or whether he updated the track
I'm still wondering though what happened to the solo album he started w/ Izzy back in 2015
