Based on what ?

Have you heard Down By The Ocean ?

Odd story

When I was doing my website years ago, people thought I was a trader, which I wasn't. I heard 10-15 seconds of that song from someone who thought I had other songs, which I didn't.

I don't remember much, but I think I'd know it if I heard it

I don't doubt what you're saying i just question if the clip you heard was real or actually Down By The Ocean.

Can you describe to us what you heard ?
Roughly the year it was sent ?
Why you believe it to be real ?

Do you understand where i coming from ?

It was 18-19 years ago. It was validated officially by someone. I just followed advice back then and left it alone

I had this thought too. A theory could be Down By The Ocean could have been a working title based on the island-sounding guitar lick. Seems like something Izzy could come up with. The big thing that goes against it is the demo had no mention of bodies of water in the lyrics. What are the writing credits?

it's not Down by the Ocean, which also wasn't Box

Yeah I like Nothing too, probably the best of the post CD songs to be fair

'On a restless sea' = Down by the ocean/Down by the sea? probably not but who knows. I remember Axl saying Fink played an SRV style solo on one song, I would imagine that was Nothing.

They also announced the indefinite delay on the official GNR X page. Said the infamous SOON

Per the official Twitter page..it was in the reply fir f'd sake.
"Apologies for the delay in the music release today. Due to unforeseen technical issues with our distribution partners, the tracks Nothin’ & Atlas are not available everywhere just yet. We’re working diligently to resolve this ASAP. The songs will be available everywhere very soon."

I wondered where they were. I logged on to have a listen

That's a bit embarrassing for the band

Well, it is past 12:00 am in NYC… Come onnnnnnnn!!!!

The press release said 10am US time. So it'll be 5 hours at least

I was having a look to see if they were out, but obviously not yet

I note that the press release states the songs will be released in conjunction with the presale, so that is 10am US time tomorrow

Any update about a potential 2026 North American tour?

I believe a tour announcement is imminent, probably this week

Wait and see what happens

The one i told you guys about back in may ?

Also to clear the air.
My sources were wrong on the June 6th release date of Atlas and Nothing.
I went into detail and apologized for being wrong on badapplesforum i can link the the post or copy them to here if you gentleman would like.

I was not trying to mislead anyone.

@sp1at if you're the same guy who used to run sp1at.com ? I imagine you would understand this more then anyone ?

I do find it coincidental that umg was expecting Chinese Democracy in 1999 but we got the orginal release of live era instead, Then again umg was expecting Chinese Democracy in 2004 but we got greatest hits instead. Now i was told umg was expecting a release from gnr on June 6th 2025 but we got a reissue/remaster of live era instead.
Notice a pattern ?

Also why would Axl be talking about a marketing plan at the may 5th Japan gnr show on the iem recording for the new songs if they weren't ready for release ?

I am, and I believe you, don't worry

Guns are one of the most frustrating bands in the world for information.

But it's good to see new songs and another tour

I think the band should be looking at their end game now. Put GNR to bed

Axl should think about living a portion of his life without GNR, do the celebrity run, or just lead a quiet life.

Why do you say that?  Lots of older bands still out there performing with large audience attendance.  What is a celebrity run?  What makes you think Axl doesn't already have a quiet life and a portion not connected to GNR?  One in the mountains and one far away from the crowds.  So quiet and removed, people think he's in a state of not being able to make decisions or create for GNR. Time off is different for a musician, work months on end and take months off for a good life balance, wouldn't you say?

Are we sure the band commission this guy and it wasn't the record company?  I was under the impression the box set was the record company's baby and not GNR's.  Something forced on them.

Yeah, you're probably right. In the moment when I read the story, that was my opinion. It is frustration I think. It's a shame

Every band has their story, and many still tour as you said. And as long as they are happy that's all that matters.

How Axl has managed to live GNR for 40 years, the mind boggles
