Yeah I think Axl made it to the venue just before going on stage. Danko Jones dragged out his set to an hour and half. Clearly the promoters asked him to because Axl wasn't gonna make it any time soon. He started telling loads of funny stories - he must not have had many songs left. According to MCD, Axl was due to go on 45 minutes before he actually went on. His earpiece still wasn't on properly when he went on stage.
The rest of the guys were awesome, but I'm sick of Axl. Surely after a few songs, when people got back into it and no more bottles were being thrown; he could have started enjoying himself. Instead he just stood there looking bored the whole gig in order to make his point to the crowd who paid him to be there.
A lot of Irish people are pissed off and looking for their money back:

The funniest ones came from the community; after Chinese Democracy was realed someone made a post on HTGTH that went something like this:
"I was giving my friend a ride in my car and I played him This I Love. I told him it was the most beautiful, emotional and heartfelt song I'd ever heard. He told me it was the gayest song he ever heard so I told him to get out of the car!"
The poster was deadly serious about throwing the lad out of his car.

Hey, I used to post a lot on the Guns n' Roses community but to be honest I got bored of it a couple of months after CD came out - I was spending way too much time on here reading stuff I guess haha and I decided enough was enough!!! Anyway I happen to be in L.A. for a couple of weeks and decided it might be nice to check out a couple of GNR related things while I'm here as I've read about the history of the band, Slash's autobiography, etc. So what is worth seeing? Anyone got the address of the hell house? Would be cool to get a picture outside because it seems like this mythical place to me. Is there anything else worth seeing - venues, recording studios, etc? Or anything related to the new band? Thanks a lot.

Just seen that film. Really funny. Looks like Slash and everyone else takes the final bit too seriously. He's playing these heartfelt rock lyrics while Bruno is there taking the piss. Really cool though.

WOOOOOO!!!!!!! I got my tickets!!!!
:mosh::mosh:
2 General Admision tickets:
@ Rogers Center in Toronto - September 16th; cost - $142.50
@ Giants Stadium in New York - September 24th; cost - $140.40I'm so pumped up. less than $300 for 4 GA tickets. Anyone who says U2 rips off the fans is on crack! Woooo!!!!
I had to pass on Chicago and Boston. Just wasn't doable right now with the finances. Plus they'll be hitting Vancouver at the end of October which I plan to attend and then they'll be back in NA in 2010 and I plan to go to Ireland next year as well so. I had to tone it down if I plan on seeing them next year as well.
:mosh::mosh::mosh:
They are playing here in Ireland this year, not next year - three shows, two sold out so far another one on sale april fools day i think.
Don't like any of the last three albums but I've always wanted to see them so I'm gonna try get tickets for the third one at least. There is a guy at work as crazy as you - going to all three irish shows travelling around europe and then going all the way to new york/boston. Every penny he spends on U2. I used to think people like Jarmo only existed online.:P
Edit: I mean crazy in a good way, just so you know!:P
