#11 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 11 weeks ago

Yeah, going to movies is a underrated aspect of my life. I wish I went more, it is a great experience. Kinda like a day at the rollercoaster. This past year I saw F1 and Tron Aris. Both were good, Tron was a slight letdown. Visually it was great, and the music (NIN) was phenomonal, but the script and storyline a bit thin. No character development. Also hard to tell how the acting was with such a flimsy script. F1 was good, the race scenes were great (and it was mostly race scenes, which I liked, not much storyline). Brad Pitts a bit old for the role, but they played it off sorta ok.

James, GLOW was a great series. I was fortunate to watch it in real time when it was out. I agree the 3rd seasons sucked. I think I read that the ratings were moderate at best, and Netflix asked them to rush the story along to get it moving. So they had to speed it up. Also they were never told it was being cancelled, so they didn't write for a proper ending to it.

Anyone help an old guy out with a pm?

#13 Re: Guns N' Roses » Atlas » 13 weeks ago

A let down for me. Don't think I ever heard it in a leak. Sounds like a mish-mosh of stuff, not a coherent song like the UYI stuff.

I'll say its better than Atlas, but still not a lasting Guns song

ehh, not a big fan. Kindof a 'Worst Of' with My World vibes, Chinese Democracy direction, and lacks rage & explosion. Very formulaic. Good solo, and the early Pearl Jam style guitar licks following are pretty good and help salvage the mess.

Gets better, maybe it'll take a couple listens but not sure this ones for me.

What was the Warchild drama?

I didn't know DTJ & Mike Guiliani knew each other, I knew she was in Long Island, so makes sense.

That's wild about Rob Zombie.

Yeah, Better got a little momentum, then radio just gave up on it altogether. CD was completely mishandled but I think the label just viewed it as a sunk cost.

I'm trying to figure out if Biden screwed her or if the fact that the DNC intentionally skipped the primaries so they could anoint their candidate.

Approximately one month in, I'm not surprised by what's happening. What I am surprised by is there is a large group of voters/people who refused to believe what Elon is exposing because he's Elon. I'm not saying I want to believe it...but I believe that the federal government is pissing away money like you wouldn't believe.

Interesting theory on the first part.  Its possible. Bidens debate moment seemed fake to me, almost staged. Her likely competition would have been Shapiro or Gavin Newsome. Maybe they felt it would've been a bad look having 'a man' supplant a woman.  Anyway I was more referring to how she handled herself, and presented herself in speeches and debates.

Yeah, I knew trump would cause chaos, then support Russia in the war.  Its his agenda, cause chaos at home, then do the dirty work.  I dunno, as to the Fed, I think there's a better way to handle it.  Maybe just implement a hiring freeze, and also trim down  on pensions for new hires moving forward. That was in 30-40 years things get more reasonable.  A contact I see online always posts about pro-trump stuff, and he's in rural PA. I want to ask him should PA just get rid of the Hunting & Wildlife commission, as I looked it up and they spend 300 million a year.  Its just so people can hunt & fish, seems a waste. Lets get rid of it, right?   Rules for thee but not for me.
