Hypothetically both could be fake.

However in the case of COTR, Zak descibed a jam in the 2nd half. I get a few seconds before transaction might sound a bit questionable - however over all it does fit what was given as the description.

A fan could hypothetically fake it, but the natural instincts of fake makers is to go a get bit too far. This sounds about what one might expect with what the music was going for.

I lean towards assuming it's real, but I suppose it could it be faked. More about the original source this comes from, which I assume we won't find out.
