Keira Knightley has never really done it for me, she's ok but too skinny really. Gorgeous smile though.

Lucy Pinder, she will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine.

of course.  its always bullshit.

the whole CD saga..  its just one of those things that has to play out, and I really try not to pay much attention to this kind shit from wannabe "insiders"

The 'insiders' have lost any power they had because nobody believes it anymore, after 06 even statements from GNR are viewed sceptically, some lonely internet loser who wants to make a name for themselves has no chance these days. If it's not directly from GNR or Universal it's not even given a second thought by most fans these days. Which in fairness is an approach everyone should have adopted a long time ago.

Yeah ti will just have to play out. It's frustrating though when at the end of the day it's just an album, it should not be such a trial to put out 13 songs on a cd and release it. Especially when it feels like the last 18 months were as close as we've ever been to getting it.

What a load of shit lol. He basically says at the end he's making it up anyway and has made up these rumours to amuse himself cos things are dead.

We know for a fact there are other versions of Better, the 06 leak, the HD version and the version with some acoustic that the hoarders have. So I don't know what his source is but it's obviously shit because I have no sources and even I know there are other versions of Better out there.

It will defintiely sell more than Libertad. Absolutely.

Look at it this way, MTV cares - they are gonna promote it (award shows, Axl appearances, the Kurt Loder factor). Rolling Stone definitely cares - they are going to promote all over their website, their magazine (cover, articles, reviews). The curiousity factor with casual fans who have been waiting a LONG time will buy it.

It most definitely will not live up to 14 years of work, but, it won't bomb. It'll sell well, me thinks.

RS definately doesn't care, they've been about as anti GNR as any publication out there since the 13 Tuesdays debacle. RS were new GNR's biggest fans in 06 until Merck in his infinate wisdom attacked them publically for breaking news of what turned out to be an inaccurate release date. RS have been pretty anti GNR ever since. They might jump back on the bandwagon when the album comes out but I wouldn't count on it.

That top 100 list is horrible, Jack White 17th ahead of EVH, Dave Gilmour, Angus Young......it's physically hurting me. At least Mark Knopfler made it, although I don't know he should be so high up. I know I'm biased but no Slash either? Did a deaf man make the list?

OT it's good to see Izzy get recognition, even if it's in the underrated list.

Thats a bit of a stretch. The Beatles barely toured, and when they did it was with that poppy crap early in their career. I dont think a 30 minute show in a stadium consisting of songs such as "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" can compete with a two and a half hour GNR concert.

That's a misconception.  They put on phenomenal shows early in their careers.  They made a name for themselves with high energy live shows doing almost 100% cover songs.  As they started performing their own music, the shows got shorter and eventually stopped when touring got to be too much of a hassle with all the crowds and not being able to even hear themselves play.  Had The Beatles (in their prime) toured in the late 80s with technology where it was, it would have been the highest grossing tour ever.

The only rival they had at the time from a showmanship standpoint was Elvis (arguably the best performer ever).  Enough said.

Still only in your opinion, forget resumes and everything else as a frontman Axl is definately one of the greats. In my opinion he is up there with the very best of all time in terms of his abilities as a frontman. Only one man clearly eclipses him imo and that's Freddie Mercury, all other great frontmen fight for position under Mercury (no jokes please) and Axl's definately one of them. Lennon and Mcartney may have been great songwriters and musicians but I don't think they come close in the frontman stakes.

#1990 Re: Guns N' Roses » The next two things to look forward to? » 923 weeks ago

I'm looking forward to hearing Axl on Baz's album and am hoping for rather than looking forward to a statement from GNR before 07 is over on the status of the album and plans for 08.

I'm not really looking forward to the Universal release list because I know what won't be on it.
