Gervais is just one of those love him or hate him guys I think. I saw him in stand up in March on his Fame tour and he was hilarious.
Forgot to mention Life of Brian in my list somehow. Great film
#1933 Re: Guns N' Roses » Another theory as to why the the ball is in the record company's hands » 963 weeks ago
At this moment in time I agree Russ, I guess you always just pick the next year when the current one is no longer viable, however as of now if it's true that the balls in the labels court 08 should certainly be the year. The lable have plenty of time to decide how to do this properly the wait buys them time, if we've waited 15 years another few months to drop it exactly when they want won't kill anyone. My guess is they'd aim for summer 08 but we'll see.

I'm not sure if it's actually that big a piece of news but there was no Led Zep thread anyway so I figured I'd start one, but there's old live and I think exclusive footage of Led Zep on their myspace page. Maybe people have already seen it but I know they say footage of Led Zep live is as rare has hens teeth so I thought I'd mention it. They're playing Kashmir I think.
Not long until the reunion show now, it's a long shot but is anyone going?
#1935 Re: Guns N' Roses » Supporting Baz [and Axl].. who will buy Angel Down? » 963 weeks ago
I'm undecided, I might or might not. If I decide I want it, I'll buy it and not download. I was leaning towards no but now I've heard LIABS I'm reconsidering, I'm really liking that song.

He's probably just meant the shows he was supporting at, there was only one cancellation. I could be wrong but I'm guessing that's what he meant.
#1937 Re: The Garden » What are you eating? » 963 weeks ago
I'll be having a burger king in about 20 mins, I'm not really looking forward to it.

Coupling is probably the best modern sitcom around.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0237123/Do yourselves a favour, look it up!
I like Coupling but I wouldn't give it that much praise. A British version of Friends with weaker characters imo.

We have threads for every other genre imaginable so here's the comedy one.
What/who are your favourite comedies (film or tv) and comedians?
Maybe you've seen someone in standup who you'd really recommend or a new comedy on tv?
A few of my favourite tv comedies are
Alan Partridge
The Office
Fawlty Towers
Friends
I think Billy Connolly, Peter Kay and Ricky Gervais are awesome stand up comedians
I saw this on youtube the other day, pretty funny

What's everyone elses favourites?

Well, I'm not the first to say it. This vid was brought up on HTGTH a year ago, and it was eventually decided that it's not a handjob (hahaha...handjob...). If you watch his mouth closely you can see it's not a natural mouth closed look and it doesn't stay the same.
I don't know, there's a black 'thing' sticking out behind his hands if you look, I reckon he's doing it with some kind of squeak toy.
