I absolutely shed fucking tears the first time I heard the old demo of Better. It was the first time I heard Axl's voice since Sympathy, and it was perfect.
I remember hearing the Better leak for the first time and being absolutely blown away by it. Within 24 hours I must have racked up at least 100 plays in the Windows Media Player "play count" 
The first time I heard "The Blues" was a download from Napster and it took at least a couple of listens before I could even confirm it was actually Axl singing. I hear it now and there is obviously no doubt at all, but back then I thought he sounded completely different (it was the Rio 3 version)

This should now be temporarily fixed 
Let us know if you still have problems though. For now we've temporarily disabled forum/topic subscriptions which will prevent the forum software trying to send an email (which should suppress the errors). The actual email bug will hopefully be fixed permanently this week

I don't recall this at all. In 2001 Izzy first mentioned Down By The Ocean, but it was recorded in 1995. Axl invited Izzy to join GNR for RIR3 in 2001 but he turned down the offer. I don't recall ever seeing any proof (or even a rumor) that Izzy was writing with Axl again but I'd sincerely love to read about this if you have a link, even if it is just a forum rumor or whatever

That is an intimate word to me and I think only Slash, Axl, Duff can refer to the band as Guns. Guns to me relates to a gang, a posse, a group of pals...
You contradict yourself in the very next sentence, or are you part of this exclusive club allowed to refer to the band as "Guns"?
Are you implying that Izzy, Adler, Dizzy, Gilby, Matt, Bucket (etc) and the thousands of fans posting online daily about Guns N Roses shouldn't refer to the band as Guns?

Yeh sorry about this bug guys, we are looking into it with the webhost Anything to do with sending an email will produce errors (such as trying to reset a password, or posting in a topic where you might be subscribed). I will do a temp fix later today to disable email subscriptions just so the errors wont appear when posting
