a couple of those prodigy songs are pretty cool. Its definitely an interesting comparison.
They are, the intro to Breathe is sick.
On topic, well we know both Silkworms and Rhiadh exist as demos among hoarders as does another version of Better a newer version of Madagascar and I guess some more versions of IRS. These are the 'safe' tracks, I'd guess if we get anything in 08 leak wise then it's from that list, very unlikely to be any major consequences should any of these get out. The media or GNR camp are unlikely to care should another version of IRS leak and I don't think Silkworms or Rhiadh are big enough tracks to cause any interest from anyone besides the online fanbase.
Whilst I'm sure they're out there I don't see anyone giving up Prostitute or TIL anytime soon, leaks are much more valuable during the quiet spells anyway especially unheard tracks. Like others have said, a couple more tracks and we have CD, something I'm sure the record company is aware of. It would take someone pretty brave or stupid to leak a big unheard track now. Only time we hear those is when CD actually comes out, any demos of tracks on CD become nearly useless once the studio versions are available, so they'll mostly surface then. I dare say a lot of hoarders will be very anxious to see the tracklist of CD whenever it's made public, the value of some of the tracks they have will drop instantly whilst the songs that haven't made the tracklist will instantly rise in trading value.

Slash, although all 3 are good.

I've had Casino Royale laying on top of my TV since August... I cannot bring myself to want to watch it. Anyone else seen it? Can someone make a recommendation?
Watch it. It's nothing like the last few films that they made, with less gadgets and a much more realistic storyline. The action scenes are great, even if you weren't a Bond fan you could watch this and enjoy it as an action movie. Daniel Craig's a great Bond as well. It's one of the best Bond films ever made imo, I'd definitely recommend you give it a chance.

My heart bleeds for both of you...
#1825 Re: Guns N' Roses » Another cash grab tour? - Rumored Brazil tour first half of 2008 » 912 weeks ago
Well if they're going to tour with no album then South America is the obvious choice. GNR are still huge over there and they haven't done a show there (except one) since 93 so they'll get big crowds.
at the beginign of the second half of the year.
I'm assuming that means around July and August rather than first half of 08. If that's the case I suppose it gives plenty of time for stuff to happen album wise before they were to hit the road. Meh, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
#1826 Re: Guns N' Roses » the Madagascar Quotes » 913 weeks ago
I still don't think this song is about the old band. I've always thought it was a more broader message, Axls isolation from the world, how he doesn't want to be associated with this current generation of humanity as they fuck up the planet with their fighting etc but it can be salvaged if we act. Of course the song works on various levels which is why it can be interpreted as being about the old band break up or something more general, perhaps this is something Axl intended, who knows. I think the general message though is in spite of the isolation you may feel you can be strong enough and there is always hope.
I remember someone saying that back in early 06 when Axl was in NY he had said he was there to get the rights to the Morgan Freeman quotes for Madagascar. So it seems at least getting the rights to some of the quotes was his job. I remember an article earlier this year also saying the record company weren't playing ball with regards to securing the rights to the MLK quotes which Axl had asked them to do, it also said Axl won't release CD unless those quotes appear on Madagascar

Funny read. Merry xmas Ron
#1830 Re: Guns N' Roses » Why can't Axl » 914 weeks ago
Several reasons I guess
Firstly whilst I'm sure Axl has plenty of money I also doubt 13 million is just small change to him that he'd just 'pay back' without a blink.
That's also assuming Axl is so eager to get CD out there that he'd pay 13 million dollars of his own money in order to get it released.
Of course then there's the probability that it's not that simple, I doubt he could just 'pay them back' and get things rolling. There's supposedly so many people involved in this thing that trying to buy his way out now and change labels would likely be more complicated than just ploughing on.
Perhaps an independent label is better for Ron but a Ron album release compared to a GNR release isn't exactly the same thing, it's unlikely that a release on the scale of CD would be something a small independent label could deal with.
