I mean everyone has their own tastes.  Out Ta Get me is my least favorite GN'R song.  I hate that it gets played at every show, but I know some people fucking love it.  Coma being played last year was fucking awesome.  If they'd play Locomotive live I think I'd lose my shit.

Axl probably scared to sing it. Out Ta Get Me is usually a skip for me. When you come off the Nightrain high, Mr. Brownstone just makes more sense. But OTGM is still a good song. The most overlooked and underrated GN'R song is Think About You. Wish they played it more back in the day.

Locomotive is incredible for sure. Possibly best song on UYI from an instrumental standpoint.

To each their own.  I don't deny for a second AFD is one of the greatest rock albums all time if not the greatest.  But I personally think UYI2 is their best album and prefer that and CD to others.

UYI2? Hmmmm...it has some awesome songs like Civil War, 14 Years, Yesterdays, Breakdown, Locomotive, You Could Be Mine, and Estranged, but I feel that album is stained pretty bad by Shotgun Blues, Get In The Ring, Heaven's Door (half-assed studio version compared to Appetite era live versions), and My World. The first UYI album is a lot easier for me to listen to all the way through.

Dude, Frank has been part of the band longer than Steven at this point.  I just don't get worked up about drummers.  Maybe Lars or Neil, but Adler isn't a world class drummer.  I'd love to see Sorum get behind the kit.  I have no love (or hatred) for Frank.  I'm just stoked my favorite members from my favorite band are on stage again.

I would take Steven's drumming on Appetite over anything Lars or Neil have done in their careers. Appetite is pure magic from an instrumental and vocal standpoint. It's delusional to pretend Steven's drumming was not an important part of the GN'R sound.

Izzy felt the entire thing fell apart when Steven was no longer part of the rhythm section and I agree 100% with Izzy. Matt Sorum himself has said Steven was a huge part of the GN'R sound. There was a very noticeable difference with Sorum's style when he joined the band.

Yeah, I'm not sure Slash and Duff were willing to do equal shares. Izzy demanded equal treatment, which was pretty much a deal breaker even if Slash/Duff wanted him involved.

This. God Damnit give us something. They are touring the same Fucking cities as last year. Last year nostalgia alone was enough. But not in 2017 for a repeat show in the same market

Well at least the shows will be in arenas instead of stadiums. The stadium experience leaves a lot to be desired...can barely see the band, sound quality is questionable in a huge outdoor stadium, etc.

This is shameful. Bon Jovi, U2, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Etc don't do this to their fans.

Metallica hasn't toured since 2009.  I don't know what the outrage is for.  They never promised an album.  The band fans screamed for 20 years to reunite is on stage again, and the fan base still finds a reason to bitch.  If you guys don't want to attend a show, then don't.  But how can you be mad that Axl and Slash are on stage again playing the very same songs you've listened to and affected you personally a thousand times over.

The Izzy and Steven factor is driving some of the frustration. If we are going to have the same setlist, at least give us the real GN'R.

FFS, they would've been torn apart by the press if they'd released a promo with Axl belting out "You're gonna die!" after 20-odd children were murdered.

They could just do a press release for the announcement. I tend to think whatever they announce is going to be a disappointment for the hardcore fanbase, regardless of how it's announced.

Pretty good list. Been listening to Rumours quite a bit lately.

Overall I doubt Izzy has regrets about quitting. He avoided a lot of lawsuits and whatnot by giving up his share of the partnership. Lost out on some merchandise revenue in the last 25 years.

But I think he's at peace. He made damn good money in those early years and 25 extra years of royalties would keep him in a very good lifestyle. Fans want the reunion but it will never be what it was, so maybe it's better that we don't get what we want.
