Fact is no matter how you spin it, you and your loved ones are much more likely to be gunned down than am I.

"In terms of the U.S., there's much easier availability of killing instruments -- rifles, machine guns, explosives -- than in nearly every other developed country," Dr. Ding said.
"In the United States, we had 9,000 people killed with guns last year, in similar countries like Germany 170 (killed with guns), in Canada 150. There's a reason for that," Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-New York, told CNN's Piers Morgan.
"The proof in the pudding is that in every other industrialized nation except the United States, they have reasonable gun control laws, and they have hundreds of people killed each year -- not 9,000 or 10,000 a year -- killed by guns."

But the majority of these shooters aren't getting their guns through legal means, where stricter gun laws wouldn't have done anything to prevent it.
Again, not saying I'm against stricter gun laws, I think it's a god idea. Just throwing that out there.
It's not about being dumb, or whatever. It's about understanding the stuation. If the majority of people comitting these crimes ARE in fact mentally ill, it should give you a pretty good clue as to where to focus.
So how do they get them easier in the US than say Australia? Yet again because too many people have guns and should not have them. At one point easy access has to stop, and it has to stop with the buyer. Less people with guns, less people will gain illegal access. The statistics are all there to see, look at Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, Italy....whatever. But Buzz has a point with the country being infested with guns, u can't get rid of them now which leads me to believe that it's too late. A negative view in itself, but culture wise - this will take time.

Anybody who thinks this isn't a gun control issue should have their head examined.
Anybody that thinks gun control solves this needs to have their head examined.
It worked in every other in the western civilization man. Like our Australian mate her says, it's so bloody obvious to everyone else but Americans.
After 22/7 the first thing we looked at was stricter gun control to avoid something like that happening again, our laws had too many loop holes.
No one talking of banning guns, my neighbour got rifles and goes elk hunting each autumn. It's about controlling who gets what.
The stats are obvious for ALL to see. This stuff, with rare exceptions, happens in America.
People blame mentally ill people and so on, so you're basically saying Americans are either more dumb or more sick than the rest of us.

buzz is right a psycho is a psycho, and if he wanted these people dead he would've made it happen regardless of legality, but we need to understand that the accessibility of firearms is much higher in a country that stands up strongly for right to possess amunitions, and to my knowledge situations like this seem to occur much more frequently in the USA than in the rest of the world. I dunno if the shooter is a teenager or not, but if dude goes into a rage with a gun nearby chances are greater it will be used as opposed to going out finding a gun for sale on the black market then proceed to go on a spree. My $0.02
Agree with all your points. I'm not pro or against Guns (or Roses), I just think acccess to it should be more controlled as some medication are, for example. I'm not taking away the "Human Factor" AT ALL, I do not believe in people way more than you'll probably understand.
Stats speaks volumes. USA is a violent country, much thanks to liberal gun laws. Europe/Canada/Australia have had not nearly the same amount of shooting massacres. All of these countries have much stricter gun control laws. That part is easy. USA is infested with guns, it's spread around like cancer (to use an Axl word).
The cancer is there, too late to stop it.

LOL - gun control will do nothing...ask the kids in China if it was better to be killed with a knife instead of a gun.
22 wounded in China.
Wonder what would have happened if he had a Glock, don't you?

Another year, another shooting. Used to think gun control would work.
I don't think it will work. Gun control works in Britain, Sweden, Germany, Canada - whatever.
It's too late for that in the USA. Too much culture, too much history, WAY too many guns. Another way needs to be found.
No idea what that can be.

Kinda weird how they said it.
I gotta say,I'm in two minds whether I would even bother going. In 2010 Axl sounded badass when he came here - now?
I don't wanna make it into a us and them thing, but if slash played again here tomorrow I would be there in a heartbeat, I had a really awesome time at his recent gig, if Axl and GNR did, I dunno? One gig just holds more value for money to me now than the other.
Dont worry. It will prolly be the same show as in 2010. Oh wait.. maybe you will get to see 2 extra covers.
Leg 65 of the Keep away from the studio tour.
Yep, after doing leg 85 of "Keep away from touring, let's record or try to record" on and off between 1997 and 2009.
Rather have them touring than cuddle up in the studio for a decade.
Seems there's not a middle ground with Axl.

It's just indicative of how things are....
The other covers were more enjoyable because Axl made his own by doing them in his own style (eg the Amazing Sailing cover in 2006)...but this one is pretty standard, there's no axl moment, no gnr adaption....pretty much just filler in the set.
Meanwhile...when was the last time you heard Yesterdays live? There's a ton of GNR stuff that you could break out before doing a cover where you have nothing to add to the original...
This... There are so many great Guns N' Roses songs at their disposal, and they knock out a bar band cover instead... Like, really???
It's like this; they want to play it because they think it's fun. We don't. We don't understand why they wanna do that stuff and not a new song or another GNR song.

Of course. He was not even subtle about it. He was asked about his comments post-RRHOF recently by Rollingstone, too.
Ali
Steven called them a bunch of hacks and scabs. That was extremely un-cool.
