I skimmed through some of the 40+ pages at Mygnr but can't keep up. I have work and a family etc. This'll blow up soon enough and someone will have to comment, otherwise they'll have a 900 page thread by the time the April gigs roll around

He's been clean since like 1991 and he sounded clean/sober. Think you're grabbing at straws with that one SG. Zero evidence to support what you're saying.
That is a brand new photo on his profile and Izzy hasnt been hacked. He uploaded that photo to Twitter 
Anyone is welcome to try and prove otherwise but really you will be wasting your time.
Guys just enjoy any tweets posted, even if you do think they're bizarre, and it'll be confirmed at some point I'm sure, either through his own actions or a more official source. I can see why Andy Greene doesn't believe a guy living on a remote island in the north sea with no connections to the music biz at all but I'm finding it kinda funny that Evo pipped RS to the post with the exclusive
It'll be old news by the time Andy gets his spam filter working properly

So, now we know Down Liner is in on the hoax.
I fully get why you would think that 
It's starting to feel like I'm being trolled because even though I know it's Izzy I can't actually prove it.
Izzy talking to the chief editor of Rolling Stone, tweeting about avacado farming, and posting Youtube videos of a GNR cover band doesn't really make it easy for people to believe either. It's all so out of character about everything we know about Izzy. Just him being on social media goes against the norm.
Follow his account though because it looks like it is gonna be interesting to say the least

Will, if Izzy's camp contacted you, and asked you to say the account was his. Would you do that?
As far as I am aware Izzy has no camp. As long as I've been emailing him (~10 years) I don't recall him having a label, management or publicist etc.
I'm sorry I can't offer any concrete proof but I'm hoping Andy has contacted Izzy and they pulled the tweets to try and stir up controversy before publishing an interview or something later? Or soon enough Izzy will hopefully do something on the account like post more unreleased pics (like his avatar)

Yep.
No inside info but I didn't ask. I just needed confirmation it was really Izzy and I'd made him jump through hoops all day trying to verify he really was him (and judging by Andys tweets at RS he was doing the same).
So we can finally get updates direct from the source: @IzzyStradlin999

Izzy phoned me earlier tonight. It is 100% Izzy on Twitter. He tried to verify twice by email but everyone saying "he's been hacked" got me paranoid (especially when seeing my forum posts shared in the wider media). Asked the account to email me a photo with todays date or phone me..... he called and I knew instantly it was him.
No doubt whatsoever

Hi there!
At this point in time I`m not involved in the upcoming 2016 gigs . I`ve been writing new material but I have not been writing or recording anything with the GNR guys . I`m starting a twitter account @IzzyStradlin999 to drop a bit of info here and there as needed . Big "thank you" to all the people who have asked about my involvement in April shows !
