‘Leave Me Alone’ was a semi confirmed title at one point?
I think that was the working title for Soul Monster

Didn't Axl mention a track named Cuban Skies in the chat?

Great post, don't remember ever reading that one in full!

I guess the CD anthology won’t happen because CD is not corporate media friendly.
I expected CD to be a sprawling trilogy of excess. Get Bucket in there and do 10 minute epics. But Axl delivered an Event album worthy of the name. But I could handle something much messier.
One of the first things Bucket released after leaving GNR was Nottingham Lace. Dan Monti was involved. I’ve always suspected he had that ready for Axl as a GNR epic. In fact, he released it as a feee download on his website which fueled my suspicion.
Soothsayer was another that came soon after GNR. He started playing it live years before he released his recorded version.
Makes you wonder about the possibilities.
Yeah, I always thought Soothsayer and Nothingham Lace would have been perfect for new GN'R. They would have one everyone over with that guitar epicness

The instrumentals we've already heard blow CD completely out of the water and we still have a couple hyped tracks to go and some bonuses.
I'm in shock.
Not the entire album, but ultimately yeah..

If 2000 Intentions needed a heavy single and Oklahoma was finished, I see a problem solved
I guess I expected it to be more electronic, but it's among the best so far for sure.

Madagascar as the opening track is killer
It works so much better than Chinese D in my opinion. I've always been a sucker for that opening verse, Axls voice has a haunting quality to it.
I doubt that that was the sequence of the album. Plus Oh My God is missing (or maybe they just reconsidered it when Bucket rejoined)? But the sad thing is that the label would have absolutely loved that album if Axl had presented it as a solo project. Imagine this competing with Snakepit2...

Not saying it wasn't done on GN'R recording time. But if Bucket's studio presence was separate from Tommy's and/or everyone else's...

The movie. Bucket is a horror movie fanatic.
Makes sense, yeah.
@this take: do we know it's Tommy on bass? Could be a purely Bucket/Brain demo, could it not?

I looked through the list of all GNR songs trying to see if one of them fit with this title.
They don't.
Prom Violence is obviously Carrie and that sources the title to Bucket. Trail goes cold there.
If it went to the A list it must have an unrelated name.
Carrie?
