Neemo wrote:I doubt he will get the time of day from any of those outlets you've mentioned and i doubt he will get funding for a video, I'd bet thats the reason that Baz has funded this thing largely on his own in the first place. The genre is virtually no existant at the moment, nobody is willing to invest in it, however if it was a reunited SR, things may be a bit different....maybe, but that would be based on pure nostalgia
You could be right, although you have to think, he was on Supergroup, he was on that Rap Show and he is always on those 80's metal shows commenting so they do value him.
I gotta ask Acekicken what the deal is with the videos, by what I have read on the Baz board, there could be a video in the works for By Your Side. I'd rather him comment, or I'll check the board again and get the info.

Well Baz wants to do the video for By your side. Because he wrote
this song for his father & it is to be dedicated to his memory Baz does
not want just a slap together video he wants it to be special & the same for all
of the videos.

Thanks Acekicken
Looks the 4th quarter of the year had alot to do with the stock issues. So Baz is at roughly 11,000 in total between here and Japan, I think that's awesome! It just went on sale in Canada yesterday I believe so those totals have yet to come in. Plus the other places around the world.
I'd say Baz and Co is doing just fine and dandy. I look forward to the video
And the fact that Japans CD cost double
what we pay & the fact is next week it will be BILLBOARDS
#1 Heatseeker

Well Here is the Good News from Jack
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll address some of this for you.
The record will appear at #1 Heatseekers in next week's Billboard, which we are very happy about.
We are happy with first week numbers in the US which are 6,489.
The first week numbers in Japan are an astonishing 4,609.
We are deep in the fourth quarter when retail stocks the biggest sellers and retail advertising is next to impossible to buy.
That is why you were having such a hard time finding it.
We are working to find solutions to this as quickly as possible.
We have not made a decision concerning video yet but guaranteed there will be one, if not more.
The record is releasing in 33 territories around the world and that will be in staggered fashion between now and December.
We fully expect potshots to be taken at Sebastian and there would be many even if we sold 1 million first week.
We're doing fine.
_____________________________________________________________We're noticing a stocking issue where stores are selling out.
We need to know the store, store number if you can get it, city and state where you are having any problems finding the record.
Not a bad problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.
Thanks
Well we plastered this all over the net. The fact is
the Record company was hit with a bigger demand than
expected on the first day. As for Rolling Stones Magazines
Sebastian never went to them they came to him seeking truth
that in fact Axl Rose was singing on the recording & not another
false report....
Funny when we sent this info to Blabbermouth they did not
post it.. Yet at the end of the week they are posting a lo sales margin.
Dose Road Runner Records really want MRVEMI Records to
succeed I think not..... I will Email Jack Ponti & see what more facts I can get.
#146 Re: Guns N' Roses » Angel Down Released Today » 916 weeks ago
Well of course it's going to touch his ego a bit.
Slave to the grind was the first Heavy Metal CD to debut at #1
& his goal is get back to the top. Im sure things will change & the CD
will pick up in sales as the stores are stocked. Over all he has been receiving
Rave reviews in fact the only negative ones have really been towards Axl by the media & towards Sebastian by Guns n Roses fans with the exception of few it bums me out to say that but it's true & Im not speaking of this message board in general but of allof them I have visited... And since I have read just about every review out there Im not just blowing smoke.
Even Blabbermouth posters have been given
the CD a great response & that is normally un heard off.
#147 Re: Guns N' Roses » Angel Down Released Today » 916 weeks ago
There have also been stores under stocked
as has been reported & the Record company is working to correct that,but of course it had an effect on sales.
The songs are great & even though Sebastian is a public star this is very much a new band,I believe as the word gets out there this CD will rise to the top...
I think a video will bring up the sales.
It is a great CD..........
100% METAL......................
I wonder how many people just downloaded it,to have
3 out of 14 songs?
I definitely will check those out for sure, thanks Acekicken
Your welcome
Acekicken wrote:DoubleTalkingJive wrote:Does Baz even care about stuff like this or what they say about what he has said in interviews about them? In your opinion if they were in a room together could Baz defend this statement?
Well I would say he cares when it effects him.
They still use his face in pictures to promote
there shows & there are people who do not know he is not in the band.Baz is often labeled the Former Singer of Skid Row
And has even received criticism in reviews for shows that have
been done by the modern Skid Row. So I would say that bothers him.But after everything he has done in 11 years there is no
question he can make it with out them,I think they both get caught up
in the he said no he said blah blah but most of the time it's cause the press
won't let it die. Questions like why are you not in the group did you quit
don't you wanna get back together with those guys but it was so magical
& Im sure that's the stuff that effects him & of course there is resentment
for being fired sure but I would say it's cause the press won' let it go & the fans to
cause many do want them to get back together.Not me I Love his new band IMO
they are the best he's ever had...WOW, I never new that happened to him. Getting reviewed and criticized at that on a show for a band he isn't even in, that's crazy. Using his likeness to promote the new band is definitely a parallel to GNR although I believe it's the promoter of the venues that use Slash's likeness and older pics to promote them, not GNR's doing.
Sebastian has an incredible resume', who would have known that blonde haired bombshell, screaming out Youth Gone Wild would do a broadway show, not to mention a tv series and Vh1 shows and so on, definitely gotta take your hat off to him that he kept on working, kept himself in the spotlight and now has a great band and what I think will be a successful album for them.
I saw Baz at MSG, front row rail, he was great, [he definitely was pissed at something tho] although I feel he should have had the timeslot that Papa Roach had, MSG wasn't even full at the time he started and by the end of his set, it had gotten packed.
Yeah The new Skids especially in the beginning
did not say that it was not Sebastian. It seem there whole
attitude was people would find out on there own. I remember
one horrible review that was on line Baz even took to commenting on it
trying to let everyone know it was not him...
I think Angel Down will finally let people know he
is Sebastian Bach & not just the former Lead Singer of Skid Row.
And if you like Angel Down you have to get
the Frame Shift 2 an Absence of empathy CD...
Sebastian sang all 12 songs & it really is a Killer CD to have...
you know your shit ace, cheers. and i dont care to see a skid row reunion all that much either. Baz played a lot of the hits on tour with GnR last year and the songs sound just as good with the band he has now. Skids need Baz way more than Baz needs those guys.
Cheers to you to yeah I have been around along time lol
