Sebastian continues to show year after year that he is a Star with or with out them. His time in Skid Row was great In 1991 Skid Row was the biggest Band in the world
Slave to the grind Debut as #1 on the Billboard Charts,They where on tour with Guns n Rose
& had just finished a tour with Aerosmith. I think Baz has proven he can make it on his own
but his quest is to be bigger than he was in 91-92 & lets face it that a tough thing to do..If there is one Rock star out there who's as big as he was in the 80's it's Axl Rose.
He is best known for his Appetite for destruction & im not talking about the CD.
His time spent in the media for all the Riots & Chaos that happen put his fame on a petistle
The first Gun's record is Killer Hard Rock with influence of Metal & Punk.Even X Gunners do not have the fame he dose.
The mystique around the Chines Democracy is
another thing that has brought an abundance of media focus
but that CD has a lot to live up to. Personally have seen his new groupI really like them & song's like Better,Madagascar & IRS
As a Sebastian Bach fan I really want to hear the song Sorry. When Chinese Democracy dose come out I have a feeling it's
going to be huge & break all types of record sales & truly make history. But the real challenge will be it's follow up.
Axl Rose is NOWHERE near as big as he was in the 80s - well, maybe the early 80s. Sorry. As for Baz, he has a much better chance of being as big as he was at his prime than Axl does because Axl's peak was much higher.
Maybe the ex-gunners don't have the same amount of fame that Axl does, but I assure you that some of them have a lot more respect in the music industry. Fame isn't always a good thing - especially when the only time you make the news recently is for being a 44 year old that bites people in the leg or when someone's making a joke about the album you've been working on for 15 years.
When Axl dose a show............. the whole city goes to see it.
He is selling out MSG & Air Canada,Acer Areana in Aussie.
Baz is still a huge star. But in 1991 no one was bigger.
He had the Stones Mag & ever other one to boot
Slave to the grind was the #1 CD on Billboard....
Baz is one Star that has had many peaks it's one thing that
he won Best singer 20 billion times in "ROCK" it was another thing when
he did it on Broadway.....
Don't know if you guys/gals have been keeping up but
Baz just announced that when Guns goes back out they will
be part of the show............ &
I think everyone should be pushing
for a video for Back in the saddle...

If you look at other Artist that have this honor
You will see Baz is in good company
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Heatseekers
With everyone from
Disturbed
Trivium
Creed
Sheryl Crow
Pantera
And many other of all kinds of MUSIC
And haveing a foot behind the closed door Im telling you
the CD is doing great
As for good reviews his 2005 project
Frame Shift 2 an Absence of empaty
was critically acclaimed CD but it was not a Solo Record & on a small small small
lable
It funny they keep saying in the press that he has not done a CD
since Bach 2 Basic(2001) & some of them are saying Bring "em" Bach Alive 1999 but he did the FS 2 CD in 2005...... & 2 years later Angel Down.

GUNS N' ROSES 'Biography' To Air Tonight - Nov. 29, 2007
According to The Pulse of Radio, GUNS N' ROSES is the subject of a new episode of the A&E series "Biography" airing Thursday night (November 29) at 9 p.m. ET on the cable channel. The one-hour documentary charts the band's history from its earliest days on the Los Angeles rock scene to its breakthrough debut album "Appetite for Destruction" to its current incarnation, of which singer W. Axl Rose is the only original member. The show also addresses the mystery of "Chinese Democracy", the "new" GN'R album that Rose has been working on for 13 years with no release in sight.
GUNS N' ROSES was founded in 1985 by Rose and guitarist Tracii Guns, who left before the band was signed.
The "classic" GUNS lineup, which recorded "Appetite", consisted of Rose, bassist Duff McKagan, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin and drummer Steven Adler. McKagan recalled for "Biography" the first time the band played together: "They came in and like, the first couple of chords, the five of us in the same room, it was like lightning really struck."
McKagan also told "Biography" that although the members of GN'R had all played in other bands, they knew that this was the one: "It was the best band we'd all been in, and we knew. For us, this was it, musically."
The bassist also recalled the group's first tour outside Los Angeles, during which its van broke down: "We ended up hitchhiking. Five guys wearing, you know, leather jackets, carrying guitars, hitchhiking, you're not gonna get a lot of rides, and if you, not for very far. We hitchhiked for a thousand miles."
Slash and McKagan now play in VELVET REVOLVER, while Adler has his own band called ADLER'S APPETITE. Stradlin is a solo artist.
Although the current GUNS N' ROSES toured last year and Rose said that "Chinese Democracy" would come out in 2007, speculation persists that the record will never be released.

Sebastian Bach's "Angel Down" - Number One on Billboard's Heatseekers
Sebastian Bach tops next week's Billboard Heatseekers Chart with "Angel Down," his first solo album in eight years. In addition to the Number One chart debut, "Angel Down" has also been winning over the critics:
"'Angel Down' will tear you up..an amped yet layered backdrop for this limitless voice, an uncharacteristically tortured Bach blazes a promising new path of modern badness and paranoia." - Los Angeles Times
"The truth is, Sebastian Bach has a great f**king voice...it's gratifying to hear he hasn't lost a whit of his vocal power, range, or attitude on 'Angel Down.'" - SF Weekly
"Bach's solo disc rocks harder - and more single-mindedly - than you'd expect." - Entertainment Weekly
"Angel Down" - produced by Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Judas Priest) and featuring three tracks with Guns N Roses' Axl Rose on vocals - also lands at #27 on Billboard's Hard Rock chart, and enters the Top 200 Albums chart at #190. While it will be a week or so before all international sales figures are in, "Angel Down" debuted at #50 in Japan.

Sebastian Bach ~ Stabbin Daggers
I love the Funky Bass line in the song mixing
with the Metal Riff & Sebastian's Amazing Voice.....
#137 Re: The Sunset Strip » FRAME SHIFT 2 FAN MADE VID's » 916 weeks ago
We have had talks on our other board before this one about Bachs various ranges in his voice and this is a perfect example. Considering he can give an awesome metal scream to a melodic/powerful broadway sounding voice to now this with is something inbetween. Awesome I say!
Loving Blade!
[move][glow=red,2,300][size=9]HELL YEAH![/SIZE][/glow][/move]
Hell Yeah I agree 100%. Sebastian Bach has an Amazing
amount of singing range. There are not many singers who can
go from singing Opera to Metal,he has even shown
lately he can Rap......Baz has all so done Punk,Psychedelic & Folk styles of music over the years...
The Frame Shift CD like Angel Down is an Amazing CD.
This is my older daughters favorite CD her favorite song is Blade.
It's one of mine 2 but songs like I killed you,Miseducation & This is gonna hurt
are all so great stand outs.

Baz played a lot of the hits on tour with GnR last year and the songs sound just as good with the band he has now. Skids need Baz way more than Baz needs those guys.
In another gnr parallel, I think they needed each other. Baz can't write good songs to save his life, but he has a great voice for 80's rock music. The guys in Skid Row wrote great songs, but needed someone like Baz to execute them. Once again, neither has been as good apart as they were seperate.
Someone listed Baz's post Skid Row career earlier...his most successful projects were all him performing songs written by someone else, mostly in musicals. His best albums were unquestionably with Skid Row and he's never even come close to that success on his own. Even going around promoting this album and Axl's presence on it like crazy hasn't led to strong sales. Same thing for Skid Row post Baz. None of this is coincidental.
I agree to a certain extent. I really don't think Bach wants to be known as the guy who used to be in Skid Row though. I think they're totally ok with people thinking he's still around though.

Having bee a Sebastian Bach fan since I was 14
I have to disagree. Even with them he wrote great songs
like Slave to the grind,Wasted Time ,In a darken room Beat you self blind.
I guess it depends on if you really like Heavy Metal..
His new CD Angel Down he wrote some great songs
like You don't understand,Falling into you,By your side,Stabbin Daggers
Take you down with me.
Skid Row have not written a great song in years.
There last 2 CD's show that...
Sebastian is a very good song writer as Angel Down
shows,he is not afraid to move forward & not live off past glory
as all 5 CD's he has done since his departure from Skid Row show..
He dose have a well balance fan Base My teenage daughter
& pretty much all her friends are into Sebastian especially the Frame Shift
CD that is Progressive Metal,Border line Nu Metal.....My kid bought
her own CD of Angel Down & Absence of empathy & a few friends bought
Angel Down some like it better than the Frame Shit CD but the majority like
the FS 2 Cd better,it's funny when I bring up Skid Row some of them don't even
like it but are very much into what he is doing now,They are all Gilmore Girls fans
which is still rather crazy to seem him in the reruns of that Show but there is 5 years
of him on ther.
