'Bitchslap' is probably my fav of the 3 that I've heard so far ...
but for Baz' sake, I hope none of these are supposed to be his "big guns."

I honestly think that the people that tour with Axl are not "bandmembers", none of them at all.
The only one you can make a case for is Dizzy, but that's simply because he's been there the longest.
Oh, I completely agree with you, the dirt.
I wasn't trying to suggest that all of the guys up on stage were band members except for Dizzy ...
I don't personally see ANY of them as Guns N Roses band members either.
I only see 5 guys as actually being GN'R. Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, and Steve. 4 of the 5 of those guys may be ex-members now but they will always be the guys who actually are Guns N Roses to me.
I'm well aware who tours under the band name these days, and they may be able to make some good music together, but I''ll never personally look at them as being anything other than the guys Axl currently has on payroll to tour under the GN'R name.

Although I'm in agreement that the album should be released, we have to remember that addition has worked in the past. They had an album with Finck-Stinson-Huge-Freese-Dizzy and maybe Brian May. It was put off so that new members BH and Brain could be added to it. I don't think anyone would tell you that was the wrong decision.
I think you are more concerned with the subtraction than the addition here. You're afraid that adding Ron and Frank means taking out BH and Brain. That's a fair point, but you should state it in that way, and not just say you're against "addition".
I'm not afraid that adding Ron or Frank means taking out Brain or BH.
At this point, I think additions of any kind are completely and totally ridiculous.
We're talking 10 years in the making here ....
I'm sorry, but I don't believe BBF, Frank or anyone else is going make or break this album either way. The material is either going to be good or it isn't. Not to mention, what in the hell has BBF or Frank's resume shown in the past that should make me believe that they are needed in any way. Neither of them have done anything spectacular that would warrant another delay.

Have you listened to any of his solo stuff...?
Yes. Awhile back, a member on mygnr uploaded some material of his for me to listen to.
Honestly, I'm really not that impressed. I don't see how his guitar style will make any positive contribution to the album. I just personally think that it's unnecessary, but I know that there are people who will try and justify anybody that Axl puts on the payroll.

If there is a finished album in the vaults, it needs to be released. Fuck this adding people shit. What happens if someone else leaves before its released? New people have to be added. If Axl keeps waiting on having a stable band for years on end, this wait is gonna go on forever.
I have nothing against BBF being on the album in some capacity, but at some point someone has to say enough is enough.
I agree with James here.
This "adding a certain member's contribution" crap has been played out waaaaay to far.
To me, this just seems like an excuse that Axl can keep playing out indefinitely to not release this album.
BBF seems like a nice guy, and I know alot of people consider his music "fun", but nothing I've heard from the guy so far suggests that he is needed in any way, shape, or form on this album. Alot of people are nice guys and can play the guitar, but that doesn't mean they have any business being on a GN'R album.

I disagree.
I think Dizzy Reed as a whole has brought very little to nothing at all to the band so far. I think Axl could have played his parts, or they could have been removed altogether, and the song quality would have still remained.
I don't know about you, but I could have lived without him headbanging in the background to the Garden of Eden video. Also, if the rest of his contributions are anything like Silkworms, he can keep them.

From a creative standpoint, I think Dizzy is close to useless. They do need someone to play keyboards, but whether it's Dizzy or some reject from Robby Hart's Piano School really makes no difference. It's possible the CD songs could change that, but it isn't likely. Dizzy should be a touring musician and not a "member" of the band (if he even is a member of the band and not a contract employee).
I completely agree, Buzzsaw.
Personally, I've always viewed Dizzy as an employee, not as a bandmember.
A bandmember would have a clue about the album he is supposedly contributuing to. Dizzy's typical interview response to any question regarding this album has been "I don't know" or "I can't say." That's no kind of bandmember response.
I also agree that ANYBODY could replace him and the end product would likely be the exact same.

I'd honestly be surprised if Baz's album sells over 15,000 copies. It'll probably sell about the same as a Warrant comeback album. Especially if the rest of the album is like the songs that we've heard so far.
I honestly think alot of you will be surprised at the low number of albums Chinese D sells IF it is ever released. Most people don't care about GN'R anymore. It's sad but true. If you think you are going to go to your record store on the day of the release and be standing in a line with people waiting to get their copy, I think you're sadly mistaken.
Piracy has alot to do with that, the fact that Slash and company aren't on the album will play a role as well. The major factor will probably be that to most of the general public, GN'R hasn't really existed since the early 90's. I'm not saying that as a diss to the new band. I'm completely aware that Axl and Nu GNR have toured several times,...... but outside of the internet, what kind of promotion has the new band seen ? How many photos are there (offstage) of Axl and his nu band ? How many interviews have they done together as a unit ? Like I said, in most people's eyes (outside of the boards), GN'R has been dead and gone for years, and Axl Rose has become known as the crazy recluse who broke up the band and can't release an album.

I am sure they love getting paid and also going out on tour now every year but I think it's more about standing by their friend because not a bad word in all this time has come out about Axl from any of them that are still in it from years ago, that's gotta tell ya something about the bond they have.
Bond or contract ?
Sure one can say they just don't speak in the press but them being on that stage with him, that really says something.
To me, it says that they don't want to get their asses sued for contract violation.
