What's to stop them from releasing an album now? If you assume they can release 2 more CD reheated leftover tracks. That makes 6 and you can basically pad it out with whatever fucking live version of whatever classic songs you want. Basically Lies in the 21st century.

Wow, they did a 4K music video. Shocking, lol
LOL, I didn't even notice that. I was just shocked that they released an actual music video since it's been so long.

This should be the big news not the Perhaps fuck up. I'll just wait for The General to drop on Apple Music. This one we don't have a real completed song to compare it with. Just snippets here and there. So that'll be interesting.
So is Oklahoma the last big gun? I'd figure they'd release Atlas at some point because it's more or less a finished song.

I give them credit that video was pretty cool. Just a bunch of concert clips, but hey so was Paradise City.
The song is better than when I heard it on the shitty jukebox version. The chorus vocals by Axl sound odd to me. They sound layered on, like obviously, it just sounds awkward to me. And the Robin to Slash transition is just really poorly mixed.

The problem with comparing it to normal things and giving passes is the fact we have a 17 year history of these people doing this shit.... manually.
This. I shit on them endlessly and this time it takes the cake. Honestly, I couldn't think of any other way they could screw this up after the Jukebox thing. They proved me wrong. Can someone tell me one thing this "management group" does well? You can't credit them for the tour (Livenation) or CD getting releaed (Azoff).

I've watched a lot of movies and I wasn't aware State of Grace even existed. I vaguely remember hearing the name at some point now when you mention it, but that is it.
It's a very weird production when I look at the credits. Top of the line ensemble with A list actors and a legend like Ennio Morricone doing the music, but produced at a small time studio with a no name director and a Broadway writer who have done nothing in the movie business since. It seems very out of place for them to come together like that.
There's actually a really good story about how Morricone came to do the soundtrack on this. It was supposed to be U2 but they took forever to finish up Actung Baby and the director ended up having to go to Morricone to do the score.

Stupidest shit I've read in a while. The jukeboxes are a legitimate mass market offical channel. Was it accidental? Sure. If they don't like it they can sue their label or manager or distribution agent or the jukebox company or whoever the fuck made the mistake. But lets not pretend it's any kind of underground darkweb cyber spy-shit crime going on here. People went into a bar, paid money, and got streamed a song that was on a paid service - all be it possibility due to an oversight of someone somewhere. Referring to this as "giving instructions" as if it's terrorism or something is retarded.
This. This is just a song from a band who had it's heyday in the late 80s-early 90s. They make it sound like the worst thing in the world that this thing got leaked. Just comment on it if you want to and move on. Even use humor and joke about it if you want. They always make the wrong move/reaction when there are leaks.

Casino Royale. Rewatched this since I was on an Eva Green kick. Brillant and really worthy of all the kudos it got for invigorating the flagging Bond franchise. This isn't really a "Bond film". It's just one of those 90-2000 noirish film that just happens to have more chase scenes/stunts and explosions. I think that makes it different. There aren't many jokes and the gadgets stuff is kept at a minimum. Oh it's really quotable, one of my favs:
Bad guy: Do you beilieve in God, Mr. LeChiffre?
LeChiffre: No, I believe in a reasonable rate of return.
3 Musketeers and D'Artagan--watchable adaption of the novel. In French. Supposed to be a second part coming in December. This is like one of those old school 80s-2000s Hollywood action films that are gone now. They actual have them using guns in addition to the swords as well, which I liked.
State of Grace--another rewatch. The only question that came to me : why isn't this better known or brought up when great crime dramas of the 90s are mentioned? You got great acting all over the place. This is probably my favorite Gary Oldman role as he goes full out here. Sean Penn, Robin Wright and Ed Harris are all great. You have 1990 (or 89) New York in it's full glory. Not quite sanitized but cleaner than the late 70s-early 80s grittiness. There's a bunch of psychological stuff and great character stuff and how each character is suffering in their own personal hell. Also some great cameo's as well. Hell it even has GNR song in it.

What's going on with public schools these days? What purpose are they serving anymore? My step daughter came home without any homework almost all of last year and I'm hearing that homework will be a thing of the past in our district. Everyone's getting As, everyone's passing...
Also, the girls are dressing like hookers at school. Boys are increasingly being taught that if they have a problem to go fuck themselves. Meanwhile, my property taxes go through the roof and the teachers are getting younger and cheaper and dumber.
What is the purpose of school? I guess based on the trends I'm seeing, it's a place you drop your kids off so you can go work.
Ok, I chat with a friend who has two kids (in middle and high school). Basically they don't teach anymore, at least not the way that you and I were. They don't read as much and lack neccesary skills. She has one daughter who she told me didn't know where to endorse the check and "signed" it in the front. A lot of the stuff is summarized. I'll try to explain this, I asked her, don't they all read in class. Everyone interprets passages/writing differently. She goes no, it's summarized for them and they are taught that. Also, they don't do book reports.
The schools are soft. My friend also say that if they have an issue with anything they can always claim "mental health" and not do things. It's insane really. These people are going to be running the country soon.

They just suck out all the fun of being a fan. And Axl is complicit with this. Reading those rules, that got posted the previous page, would anyone want to really spend money on them after getting talked down and lectured like that?
Fuck off with that shit. Dead artists treat their fans with more respect than GNR.
