At that level of the industry I'd imagine that there is a degree of specialisation, yeah. Though IIRC Caram Constanzo works on both live and in-studio material, so who knows?
Caram’s live mixes of GN’R are terrible. Getting anyone else in there to do it instead of him is bound to be an improvement

Read the circled part. It’s listening to mixes of the live show.
NOT. NEW. MUSIC.

Some in the comments believe it's to listen to mixes of the show they they did to prepare for Glasto. That makes no sense whatsoever as a stadium in Oslow will not have the same acoustics as Glastonbury, A lot of people seem to be finding ways to talk them selves out of it happening and I get why.
However the most likely thing is probably true. We have been told new songs are coming, two of those songs have been spotted on a setlist & now there listening to mixes.
Seems pretty clear to me
It’s not about recording new music though, and the live sound thing sounds legit, especially when there’s another post featuring a picture the sound guy, and mentions that he does live sound for all the big rock bands. The guys name is Dave Natale. And it says he mixed Guns show at Tons of Rock.
I hate to burst everyone’s bubble of excitement, but this is nothing to do with new music, and everything to do with sounding good at Glastonbury

Should we be getting excited at that????!
No. That’s just them in the studio listening to mixes with a live sound guy. This is just so they can sound good on Saturday at Glastonbury. Move along. No new music coming.

The track with Slash is from the unreleased Beautiful Disease record. I wonder whether it's the exact same version or whether he updated the track
I'm still wondering though what happened to the solo album he started w/ Izzy back in 2015
I noticed that too. The lead guitar Slash plays on the 1997 version is great.

Not debuting anything at Glastonbury seems like a missed opportunity for international media coverage. It is such an important, historic festival. It could have created a much-needed buzz for the North American tour.
They haven’t played Glastonbury yet though

I actually bought the whole walking papers album and didn’t make it through the first song. He’s a great supporting musician though.
Yeah, the first album is a bit hit and miss. The second Walking Papers album WP2, is great though. I actually think that’s one of the best albums released with a GN’R member involved.

Can somebody explain to me why people think TWAT is so hard to sing? It certainly isn’t as hard as Locomotive or Coma.
The verses all the way through to the chorus, the way the vocals are sung, there isn’t a break for you to catch your breath.
I imagine he didn’t sing it in the studio all in one take.
That’s why it would be hard to pull off live.

Wow. They played November Rain, Estranged, TWAT, This I Love, and Locomotive all in the same set, out of a 33 song long set. I’m impressed that they’re busting out so many epics, lesser played UYI tracks, and playing for so long.
But at the same time, they were just here in Australia 6 months ago, 5 years after the 2017 Oz tour, and we should’ve gotten some of these songs thrown our way.
The only difference between 2017 and 2022 for us was Hardschool and Absurd, and maybe one or two others.
But this is GN’R, always doing the minimum effort until they randomly don’t.
Hoping this is leading up to something…
