The ball may well be in Axl's court, but I don't think Slash, Duff, Izzy or whoever even want to play with that ball anymore.

As Monkey said, the ship has sailed on this one altogether. Even if Axl wanted it, I suspect that other than a one night show, I'd be surprised if Slash or Duff signed up for it even if Axl asked them to.

But all they'd be doing now would be repeating the same songs Axl plays every show, that Slash has done every gig with Myles, that KOC did the other night..and with the added ability to now come out late and have RIR4 style performances.

Exactly, Axl to them would be a tie-down, and a pain in the ass, that they are free of right now in their own solo / collaboration stuff.

Slash can go out and nail it with Myles, does anyone really think he'd consider swapping that for RIR4?

Well, Axl is n`t begging them to come back full time either.

It`s not like Axl wanted reunion that much and if anyone thinks that if someday Axl decides to mend fences with Slash, offer him a gig and Slash will refuse, they`re in denial to say the least. Whether someone likes it or not ball is in Axl`s court when it comes to reunion not Slash`s, Izzy`s or Duff`s.

Very slim chance of them ever reconciling. Axl does n`t forget and does n`t forgive. He will die before he shakes hands with Slash it may sound harsh but it`s true.

Led Zeppelin and classic Lineup of Guns` are already ruled out for obvious reasons bucket

I always laugh when I read such kind of " articles". Who gives a toss how he looks for christ`s sake.

Tommy could easily split time between GNR and the Mats but it`s not worth since Axl has no intention of making music, Tommy should stick with the Mats.

Just got the album. Listened to Loner, Age of Reason, Live Forever, Damaged Soul, and Dear Father. Still need to hit the bonus cuts.

I dig it. I wasn't expecting the second coming of christ so maybe that's why. Quick notes for now, Damaged Soul is a great tune. Prolly the best track. Dipped in Blues and so very sexy. Tony fucking shines on this track. Getting straight bluesy and still keeping it heavy. Great fucking job on that song plus the ending jam with Ozzy hitting the harmonica.. I dunno how Son of a Gun called it "boring with nothing going on." Maybe you aren't a blues fan which would make sense.
For the rest, the trademark Sabbath tempo changes and twists are there but very settle and not as awesome as the olden days but I did have some "fuck yeah" moments. Loner was pretty good minus the weak lyrics. Age of Reason is a kickin' tune. I need to listen to it again. My advise is listen to it on a premium stereo or car system.

Ozzy thanks duff in liner notes. Wonder if it related to soberity issues. Also apparently  zakk wydle named a kid Sabbath Wydle. 16

I like Blues, but I dislike Damaged Soul just because it`s bluesy and Ozzy plays harmonica, doesn`t mean it`s good. They tried so hard to make it sound like their old Blues Metal jams The Wizard, War Pigs, Hand of Doom but they failed royally. it drags forever. Had it been 5 minute long song, it would be much better.

Should have had the balls to release the album back then and say "fuck you" to the 3 good songs thing.

Regardless of it looked, lets be honest. He probably would have said 3 or so good songs on "Use Your Illusion" too. Now I'm not saying the material we never heard and the album, is/was comparable to I/II, but he probably would have said it.

Some of us used to think years ago, that Axl was a perfectionist. I just think he lost his artistic integrity a decade ago.

Essentially this, Axl pussed out in 2001 and 2002. I was counting time till new album, I was pumped to get heavy, dark and aggressive Industrial Metal sounding album too bad it all fell apart.
