That pic of Axl looks a bit scary.
If that guy sat beside you on a deserted subway train and looked at you with those wide eyes and that tash, you'd be thinking..."what the fuck...??!!!"
I remain a massive fan and am heartened that the guy lives some sort of a peaceful life. Would love to see Beta out and a nice wife and a couple of kids in instead though. I look at Duff & Slash with their kids and feel that Axl would really relish that role.

When is the next big UYI milestone?
I'd give my teeth to hear Coma, Locamotive, Pretty Tied Up, Breakdown and Bad Apples with Slash playing.

who is Slash's management?
They should open a boot camp for Team Brazil!

I'm with you guys on this.
I thought the Slash/Chris Cornell song was weak.
Those two should be leading this era's answer to Led Zeppelin.
I like ID's line up idea, I may just stick Mr. DeLeo on bass though as his big sound could be awesome with Slash on lead.
My Dream would be Grohl - Drums, DeLeo - Bass, Jerry Cantrell - Guitar & Vocals, Slash - Guitar, Chris Cornell - Vocals
A dream it will remain.

I think the saddest thing of all is that fucking AXL just watches this shit go down year in and year out yet, who gets their seats on the private jets and at the best eateries?
Fucking Team Brazil.
The fact of the matter is that Axl lavishes upon those that keep his every whim catered for, while he has taken a giant shit on those who called him out for his bad behaviour.
Wives, managers, bandmates, industry guys, childhood friends, photographers, roadcrew...the list of people who have quit on this guy (and are now his enemy) is MASSIVE.
Beta is not a manager, Axl MUST know that as he has been through enough good managers and lived at the highest end of the industry to at least know what good music industry staff behave like, work like and how they should interact with the public.
Fact is, the poor old bastard may just be living, working and looking like he is because he had to hand over the reigns of GNR to his "Mom" so he could keep the only "family" he has known from walking out.
Unless he is a total retard he must see that Team Brazil are crap, but they work at a level just barely capable enough to keep the money coming in to keep him and his "family" living in luxury.
Could it be that deep down he knows that relaunching GNR with these guys in charge is just too big an ask so he's decided to quit chasing that dream and take their human company rather than sack them, lose them and go back to being alone.

I'd love Slash to write a song with that woozy blues vibe with Myles singing in his lower register - get Myles out of his nostrils and into his chest, he sounds much better there.

Why jump back in the studio when the last time was such a confidence sapping, draining, possibly emotional and time consuming process?
Private Eye sums it up for me here.
I think Axl burned himself out overthinking CD. Bearing in mind that he carries any bad things that happen to him around for eons,, mulling over them relentlessly, I would say on the Axl timeline, its still too soon and he just does not feel ready to face CDII.
Axl may have looked at what happened with VR II and fears that without the curiousity factor so prevalent for CDI, CDII will bomb no matter how good it is.
I just don't think he can face that.
He can trade of the old days, make a good living, get chubby and comfortable and ease into his 50's.
Look at Matt, he said he has no longer got the energy to refloat a big band like VR from scratch so my feeling is that Axl is the same.

Like Slash is suddenly going to give you some globally appreciated nugget of info about a GNR reunion - even if you are the 5,000,000th goon to ask....
FFS...more LAZY journalism.

At the end of the day slash outputs an album every couple of years, and Axl is still unable to deliver. If the problem was Slash, why don't DJ and Paul smash out a new album for Axl this year? I guarentee you DJ would do it in a heartbeat.
BOOM!! there it is.
And lets not forget that Bucket and Robin gave up also. So it begs the question...
What the fuck do you actually want from your lead guitar player???
