That's great! Well done Duff - strong on melody. Guitar mix is a bit weird.

#1082 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude." » 856 weeks ago

the fact that Axl uses his FRIEND or forum devotees to interview him while Slash has gone in front of the world's media should tell you a lot about which man is being more open and grown up about their side of the story and their culpability in the demise of GNR.

Axl does not appear ready to risk being interviewed by a savvy journalist who will challenge him on his role in becoming the last original member of GNR and how well that strategy has worked out for him.

Slash has always been open to interview & criticism via the media. He has also criticised himself for his bitterness and bad will towards Axl whereas the Million Dollar Baby still hides out in his mansion, gets interviewed by minions, never accepts any responsibility for any of the problems with the band and devotes whole sections of his interviews appearing tiny minded and poisonous about a man who he has not even seen in 12 years.

Also Atari, this is not about sides, it's about the ongoing disappointment and bemusement that many of us fans feel with Axl's descent into an obsessive, self pitying martyr. Are you really under the impression that Axl is as gracious about Slash as visa versa?

#1083 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » I can't believe that was Steven Adler » 857 weeks ago

I'm referring to the lawsuit he won against the old GNR.
Obviously he blames Axl now, but back then he moaned that they all got him into drugs and then dumped him..or twords to that effect.

If Steven got his addiction by the balls like many before him he could be a happy, relaxed millionaire living off fat royalty checks, not the stumbling, slurring wreck he has become.
I wish him the best but it's time to stop living in the past and blaming Axl and the old band and start dealing with this problem.

#1085 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash Basically Blaming Axl » 857 weeks ago

To all you Axl apologists who go on and on and on..
I have one point for you.

What did the many players who joined GNR with a career & a profile of their own end up doing?
Answer: Leaving.

No matter how you all bawl, babble and scramble to defend your idol against the evils of Slash, that inescapable fact remains and speaks volumes about the way things must have to work inside GNR.

All the snotty posts and carefully picked video clips ain't going to change what the entire world thinks went down.

It's time to see it for what it is and let it go.

James,
this site is kick ass and really a great home for true fans who want Axl back on top.
Axlin, that 'work the shaft' comment made me spit my coffee all over the PC, freakin' hilarous!!

Yeah, I can see you meeting Axl and badmouthing his friends infront of him.

Fuck man, why is this so damn hard? Even though Axl acts like an ass in an interview and calls Slash cancer it doesn't mean you have to act like a fucking ass too. All I ask is for some damn respect for people you don't know shit about.

hey don't get your panties in such a twist, this is all hypothetical silliness. I won't ever meet Axl, he doesn't care what I think and I'm just a nobody on a forum. I would suggest that you chill bit and look at this for what it is, just a bit of correspondence to pass the time. I think you're being a bit huffy for nothing. You don’t know Axl or his crew either so you could be just as wrong defending them as I am attacking them.

IF in some alternative reality Axl asked me what my feelings were about his career I'd be honest and say that I think he has surrounded himself with the wrong people who seem to abuse their position especially with his legacy, his fans and his former record company partners.

I have formed that opinion from the things I have seen. You have your opinion, I respect that and don’t refer to you as a ‘ass’ for having one. Good luck to you, we just disagree on where our favourite singer should be in his life right now, makes for a healthy forum for discussion. No need to dissolve into name calling.
