So is it worse than the demo version?

Do you prefer Bucket or Slash?  That kind of determines which you like better.

They are both awesome guitarists. Slightly prefer Slash.

That's my thought. The casual audience will really enjoy Hard School, if the damn thing is ever released. It would be the most GN'R thing of all-time if they release Absurd and that's the end of the road.

College football forum I visit has a new thread on this song today. The response is 100% negative. These guys are casual GN’R fans who dig the classic sound. This really seems like we got to see how the world would react in 1991 if My World was released as a single.

Yes, I think releasing a new song every 4-6 weeks is a good way to go. They don't even have to release the album. Release 12 songs over however many months...and then the fans can put it all together as an album/collection.

That seems to be the trend among a lot of bands these days. Drop a single on Spotify/YouTube once a month or so, and after about five or six of them, then drop the rest of the album. And it makes sense the way consumers have such short attention spans these days.

Exactly. If you drop the album right away with only 1 single released, a lot of songs end up getting lost in the shuffle. By releasing a bunch of songs in a separate manner before releasing an album, you force the audience to give proper attention to each song.

Below is a video of the 1986 Don't Cry (Acoustic) performance I mentioned earlier. His vocals in the 2nd half of this are incredible. I find it amazing that the crowd has no idea who these guys are, and 5 years later the song is in the Top 10 on the pop charts. 35 years later, the official music video has almost 650 million views.

1986 Don't Cry (Acoustic) at The Central. The 2nd half of that performance features some of the best live vocals ever. Unbelievably good.

The phone recording from the Austria party?

I've only ever heard of the one that was barely audible. If there's a good quality one like what was mentioned above, then that one.

There's a cleaned up almost fan remake of the cell phone clip where they constructed Axl vocals that sound like the cellphone recording syllable by syllable. I will see if I can dig it out.

I would love to hear this as well. Appreciate your efforts.

I just checked the Spotify top 200.

It's already gone.

Yep, it has fallen off a cliff on iTunes as well. At one point it was #12 on the pop chart and #1 on the rock chart. It has fallen out of the Top 200 on the pop chart and it's now #52 on the rock chart. Sweet Child is #19 on the rock chart, Jungle is #41 on the rock chart, November Rain is #49 on the rock chart, and Paradise City is #71 on the rock chart.
