Nothin is an absolute gem. Wow.
Atlas, it got Catcher'd worse than Catcher. That is one that was just way way way way too long in the oven.
Yeah, quite surprised by Nothin. Pretty good. Has a kind of Audioslave vibe to it. I like Atlas as well, but it just doesn't flow properly. There are three distinct sections that just come in and sound different, like they were two or three completely different songs spliced together by a child rather than having million dollar production.

If you're going to delay it, which you're going to do because you're a dellusional corporate who hates life, at least come up with a valid excuse. A technical issue with the distribution partners is an AWS/Cloudflare/internet issue, resolved within hours at most. If you're going to delay it for days or weeks as they inevitably are if we don't get it today, at least give a proper reason. "The artist pulled it" or "There are legal issues relating to rights to the songs" whatever the actual reason is.
Pissing off the people you rely on to rinse millions from the never ending nostalgia tour isn't a great marketing plan.

So it doesn’t sound like it was really up to Frank. That’s what I figured. It still seems like an odd decision after 19 years. I mean if he’s not the man for the job, why did he last so long? He’s even been playing with Slash & Duff for almost a decade now. Are they just now realizing the chemistry isn’t there? I feel bad for Frank in that sense. Seems like it was a surprise to him and he was preparing for the tour.
Well, going by Matt's autobiography Duff wasn't keen on Frank from the off. So it's probably just that it took this long to get to the point where Slash and Duff were sufficiently settled in the band that they could go, "Get rid of this guy" without Axl pitching a fit and nuking the reunion.
They're not really a band anymore. It's just a nostalgia touring act. To play and tour with someone who is clearly a nice guy like Frank for that long and then decide they don't want him is pretty poor.

It'll be Matt won't it? I seem to remember posted a few references to Guns 2025 late last year on his social media.

GNR will be playing at Ozzys final show
I wonder what Sabbath or Ozzy song they will cover.
It's Alright would be logical, followed by Dirty Women, that would suit them.

Maybe (don't laught) he's sandbagging them for an album. Especially if they are deemed as stronger tracks. 2 less tracks to write afresh.
I think we're past that point. Axl, as with the last 25 years, is either so badly off with his mental health or simply motivation, that he is unable to work for years on end. That is broken either by a brief relapse or a sharp instruction from his advisors that he needs more money. The thought of him going into a studio and working on an album like a normal person these days just seems impossible. Some late night sessions spread over several years? Possibly.
The 'we're trying to work on a new album' bit from Slash likely means they've asked him to do it and he's asked them to send over their ideas so he can listen to them when he next has a spike in his motivation, which could be next week, but could also be the next decade. I can't imagine Slash and Duff working on an album the same way the Chinese Democracy band did.

“carved out a legendary status in the rock history”
Yep, definitely official
It's poorly written, but it's definitely official. The ownership and reciprocal links on his official social media accounts check out. Perhaps it's something he's done himself? It'd be a cool place to embed leaks of all the Chinese Democracy stuff they aren't ever going to release.
I don't really understand what function is has though. It isn't selling anything, there's nothing to promote and there's almost no information on there.
All very strange and completely in keeping with the weirdness of GNR. It would be amazing if a timer appeared on it in the near future however.

Good stuff. We might hear it when it leaks in 2047, before them playing it on the 'Shanghai Sunset' farewell tour's 294th leg.

I guess as fans of Guns n' Roses I guess we're all of the age where we're going to fail to understand AI produced music videos. But I'll bet this would have gone down very well had Gorillaz or a contemporary band released it. The visual style is great, but it's so nuanced and deep that it's almost impossible to extract any real meaning from it, other than the overall vibe of pain and reflection. I just wish they'd made it a bit more of a obvious progression. I.e the kid gets persued by an evil older guy whenever he goes home and then rebels and runs off, gets the bus to a big city then gets chased by the demon in his dreams when he's older etc. As it was, most of it was just the kids morphing into other slightly different kids then back again and an AI version of a tech demo. The AI take on Melissa was just weird, turning her into a boy and it seemed to turn Slash and Duff into DJ Ashba.

I can't beleive its going to be another of those "Shadow of your Love" type videos- that was probably the LAMEST video I have ever seen. Awful.
It's going to be a hybrid of live footage and the low quality cartoon. Yay. At least that explains why they played it live, so they can get some footage of the band and Axl performing it for the video. I'd love to know if Axl still thinks it's the 80s and he's putting this video out so it can be on Dial MTV.
